From individual tenant fit-outs, to building-wide maintenance surveys of 3000 venetian blinds, through to high-level motorised blinds in Reception areas, Soltech have been the blind contractor of choice for 80-100 Victoria Street. In the south-facing reception areas along Victoria Street we have installed roller blinds at 15m height, secured to the structural steelwork. These blinds operate easily from remote control to allow the building staff to shade the large common areas housing the building Reception and Cafes. The most challenging installation was providing a solution to the pointed ‘nose’ of the building, where the client experienced direct glare from the south elevation and reflected glare from neighbouring buildings. Soltech conceived a bespoke design, worked through proof of concept and mock up to develop and test, and undertook the works to the whole reception area in one weekend to minimise disruption. This included arranging the scaffolding to reach 12m working height, which was assembled and struck before the client opened for business on Monday morning.
